Or just knowing that hey all demons have resist element, DR, and SR so you want to grab an energy blast, ascendant element, and spell penetration line +mythic or you are going to struggle later on. Like spindle looks good, targets 2 enemies, but reflex save negates means using it against the wrong opponents could mean 2 burn used for no damage. Yeah but you should learn the basic mechanics like how ranged attacks work with a fighter or something similar to get a feel for combat before jumping into the class that spends HP to use fairly unique abilities many of which aren't very good (outside the ones that break the game). ![]() Composite Blasts combine two elements for extra damage. Other feats to take are Weapon Focus (Kinetic Blast), Improved Critical (Kinetic Blast) and the aforementioned Spell Pen feats by the time you get to choose a second element (I highly recommend Fire) and start doing composite blasts. Apart from that, just pump a lot of Dexterity. Your first feats, for any Kineticist, should always be Precise Shot and Point-Blank Shot. Later in the game you'll be using Energy Blasts, and you'll take the Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration feats.īlood Kineticist starts with water blast, which is physical. Touch AC is considerably lower and easier to hit, but requires an extra roll of the dice to check if your blast penetrates the foe's Spell Resistance. Physical Blasts target normal Armor Class, and energy blasts target 'Touch Armor Class'. With the Kineticist your Kinetic Blast can either be a physical blast or an energy blast.
